What Happens Next?
Now you’ve booked me to play for your big day, what happens next?
You’ll be glad to know that there isn’t much for you to do regarding music. The music fits in around the timings and plans you make with the venue.
For evening-only bookings, I’ll need to know your first dance and if it’s something you want me to perform or if you’d like the original. If it’s something you’d like me to perform, in that case, I’m happy to learn a song subject to suitability and backing track availability. Always ask, and I’ll be able to tell you quickly what’s possible or not.
You may want to put together a playlist for the disco, which is really useful as a starting point but not essential if you want an all-round party, it’s up to you. Playlists are best compiled over time, and I suggest you build them as ideas come to you between now and a week before the day. If you send the list over in an email the week before, I’ll ensure I have everything with me.
Please note that if you’ve booked me for the evening, only the standard times are 7 p.m. to midnight. If you want to add time to either side, an additional charge of £100.00 per half hour will apply.
If you’ve booked any daytime music, I’ll need to know the start time.
Your venue might want copies of my Public Liability Insurance and PAT information. If they contact me directly, I can forward PDF copies.
If you have any questions, please message me on WhatsApp, email or call, and I’ll get back to you with answers as soon as possible. I am often difficult to contact by phone, especially over the weekend, so a message or email is best. If we need to chat, we can book a mutually convenient time to talk on the phone or by Zoom during the week. If I don’t answer during the week, I’ll most likely be at a recording, so again a message or email can be quicker.
I’m looking forward to being a part of your special day and helping to make it one to remember.
