Terms & Conditions

All bookings are provisional until the client signs and returns the contract. At this time, all the terms & conditions of this contract apply.

In the unlikely event that Paul Martyn cannot fulfil the engagement, he will make every attempt possible to find a suitable replacement. All monies will be returned to the client if a suitable replacement cannot be found.

A 30% deposit is required with the digitally signed contract within 14 days of the date shown on the contract.

Please note that the non-signature of this contract is not sufficient to cancel this agreement. All cancellation fees will be in force after the 14-day cooling-off period. Please also note that you must return the contract during the 14-day cool-off period to avoid losing the booking.

In the case of cancellation on the client’s part, deposits are non-refundable or transferable after the 14-day cooling-off period. The balance is due no later than 14 days before the performance date.

*Coronavirus (COVID-19) Cancellations*

If your wedding or event has to be cancelled or postponed due to government restrictions related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), such as a lockdown or social gathering number limits, the client will have the option to either have all monies paid returned or have the whole booking including the deposit moved to a new date.

Evening entertainment is priced from 7.00 p.m. to midnight (the latest finish time if required) before or after which a charge of £100.00 per half hour will apply unless otherwise agreed. Please also be aware that Paul may take up to an hour to set up. His start time is entirely dependent on access to the room. Lost time on the client’s part at the beginning of the evening due to late access/room availability cannot be added to the end of the evening. The standard £100.00 per half-hour after-midnight charge will apply.

It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that the venue is suitably secured and has a safe 13 Amp/240-volt power supply on at least a 30 Amp ring main. Please also check that parking near the access doors is available for Paul’s vehicle.

The client will pay for any damage to Paul Martyn’s equipment caused by the drunken, disorderly or inappropriate behaviour of guests attending the function or event. Paul reserves the right to stop working and leave the venue if he receives any form of abuse or threats from guests. 

The client is asked to provide reasonable hospitality during the event, including refreshments and suitable changing facilities.

Where a contract is held in more than one name, all persons named in the agreement will be deemed jointly and severally responsible for payment or cancellation.

Cancellation Charges

For any cancellation made within 12 months before the date of performance, 60% of the contract fee is payable

For any cancellation made within 9 months before the date of performance, 80% of the contract fee is payable

Any cancellation made within 6 months before the performance date, full payment will be due

Please note that should you find it necessary to cancel the engagement, it is essential that you confirm this in writing and that Paul Martyn, in turn, acknowledges in writing your request to complete the matter.
